Persistence of armed violence captures the tendency for violence to recur in the same locations repeatedly in what has been termed the “conflict trap”. The impacts of armed violence also affect the livelihoods of local communities over longer time periods. Persistence of armed violence indicators are based on the time series of the dimension one indicators preceding a given grid cell quarter.
