About the project
Initiated and commissioned by the German Federal Foreign Office, the CCVI is created and evaluated in the context of a multi-year research effort.
Partners
The CCVI is a joint research collaboration between scientific partners at the University of the Bundeswehr Munich and the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research with the German Federal Foreign Office.
As an interdisciplinary institute, PIK advances climate impact research for global sustainability and contributes to solutions for a safe and just climate future. Its FutureLab - Security, Ethnic Conflicts, and Migration conducts dedicated research on climate risks to human security.
The Center for Crisis Early Warning (CCEW) conducts quantitative research on crises and conflicts using innovative conceptual and methodological approaches, such as predictive analytics. Additionally, it supports the German Ministry of Defense and the GFFO in forecasting and assessing potential crises, enabling them to implement adequate preventive measures.
The CCVI was initiated and commissioned by the German Federal Foreign Office.
The design agency Truth & Beauty provides support in user research, science communication and data visualization.
